According to the vision by Joel Kotkin, a geographer and futurist, Dallas will be the new capitol of The Great Plains and Texas would be divided and claimed by 3 of 7 new nations in America in 2023. An idea map by Kotkin has been created for Forbes Magazine called “America’s Next Decade.”
