Clickable Google Map: WWF Tuna Tracking in Philippines

The WWF Coral Triangle Global Initiative has created an interactive Google Map for tracking the adult yellowfin tunas in the waters of Mindoro Occidental, Philippines.

The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), cooperated with the Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), is doing an experiment about providing data to scientists from pop-up satellite tags that have been attached to adult yellowfin tuna in the Coral Triangle. Four fishes, named Amihan, Badjao, Hagibis and Buhawi, have been tagged, and their detailed information and moving routes can be seen in the tracking map.
